Rupee for a thought

A rupee for a thought

The 13th of December was our last GNCT session for the 1st year. Like all other days of GNCT, we had an interesting session. First, Miss.Sarasi collected a coin from each of us and all the coins were put in to a purse. Then the purse was rotated through the class and the moment where Miss.Sarasi tapped the table, the person with the purse had to take a coin out and he had to speak about the memories he had related to the year of the coin.

The session was going awesome as this was totally impromptu and our colleagues were bringing out some funny and interesting things happened to them in the respective years. When I got the chance to speak, the coin I got was a 2/-  coin which was released in 2006. So, here is the story which I related to the class, the story of how I survived Death.

It was the month of December in 2006, and it was a rainy season. One Sunday morning I was playing in the garden and suddenly I got the idea of overseeing the well because I knew that the well would have filled with water because of the rain.

When I peeped through the well,  an idea suddenly got struck in my mind, "What if I touch the water of the well from my little feet? Then it would be my super hero story in the school". So I started gliding through the rope of the well until my foot touched the water and which I managed to do without any difficulty. But suddenly matters got out of hand and I started slipping through the rope until water was in to my chest level.

The purse kept passing in the class and the people who got the chance to talk about their memories told many interesting stories. Most of them were funny memories. Most of the coins were in the years of 2016, 2013 and 2004. But I didn't get a chance to speak on my memories. If it was 2016 I would have talked about my A/L exam since I did my A/L in 2016. If it was 2013 I would have talk about my O/L as I did my O/L in 2013. If it was 2004 I would have talk about my sister since she was born in 2004 and the Tsunami.
The day ended after sharing our memories with each other.
