In this session we had a workshop on emerging technology trends conducted by MR.Srinath Perera VP Research in WSO2. This workshop was very interesting, because of this topic. It is very important to us knowing new technology in current society.

In this workshop we could know current technology as well as emerging technology. Mr. Shrinath Perera explained it well.

Blockchain

Blockchain is a distributed Immutable Ledger that provides trust without a third party.

Decentralized Systems without central control ( Social network, DNS, Auction, Prediction Markets, Global Reputation)
Safe Ledgers ( Government records, land registry

Augmented and virtual reality

This is also a trending technology that we can see nowadays. It has lot of advantages if we are using. Augmented reality(AR) and Virtual reality(VR) are different. In VR , it is given us a different world separated from real world. But in AR, it shows a different world too but not separated from real world. It shows us new world in front of the real world as a part of that world with each other.
